The Hypac first-generation basket press was made especially for Barossa Valley winemakers in 1999, using traditional hand pushed trolleys and baskets with oak slats.
Following demand from Californian winemakers for a fork lifted stainless steel version, the second-generation basket press was released in 2002.
2007 saw the release of the third-generation 3G Hypac basket press which is designed to press very small parcels of fruit regardless of press capacity.
2016 saw the addition of the PLC to the basket press range. This provides a range of pressing programs and automates the steps within the program, reducing labour through the pressing cycle.
